From Cape Town via Montagu

• From the R62 drive through Montagu on Long Street.
• At the Talana sign board turn
• Drive ± 1km until you reach Ouberg / Touws River / Ladismith turn off.
• Turn left at this turn off onto gravel road. Drive over Oubergpas for ± 28km.
• Turn left at the Touws River / Desert Wind sign board. Still on Gravel Road.
• Drive approx. 12km on gravel road until you see white and rock walls with Desert Wind on your left. (Make sure you received a code for the gate)
• Enter the gate at Desert Wind.
• Carry on, keep left at the Desert Wind/ Keurfontein split.
• Keep on going till you get a black sliding gate. Open and close again please. Gate is always unlocked.
• Reception is approx. 1km form this gate. Stay on this road, carry on till the white reception building.

From Cape Town via De Doorns (N1)

• Follow the N1 past Worcester, through De Doorns over the Hex Rivier pass.
• Turn right on R318 to Montagu. (Koo Road)
• Travel for approx. 27km and then turn left onto a gravel road at the Desert Wind board. (Nougaspoort)
• Travel for approx. 19km on this gravel road and then turn right at a T-junction to Montagu via Oubergpas (Still gravel road.)
• Drive for approx. 19km on gravel road until you see white and rock walls, Desert Wind on your right. (Make sure you received a code for the gate.)
• Enter the gate at Desert Wind.
• Carry on, keep left at the Desert Wind/ Keurfontein split.
• Keep on going till you get a black sliding gate. Open and close again please. Gate is always unlocked.
• Reception is approx. 1km form this gate. Stay on this road, carry on till the white reception building.

From Touws Rivier (N1)

• Take the N1 to Touws River.
• Turn right (coming from Cape Town), or left (coming from Jo’burg) at Touws River in Jane St.
• Turn left at the first 4-way stop into Logan St.
• Carry on straight till you get to a T-junction. Turn
• Drive approx. 900m along the railway line.
• Go over the railway Turn right on the gravel road.
• Drive for approx. 44km on gravel road until you see white and rock walls, Desert Wind on your right. (Make sure you received a code for the gate.)
• Enter the gate at Desert Wind.
• Carry on, keep left at the Desert Wind/ Keurfontein split.
• Keep on going till you get a black sliding gate. Open and close again please. Gate is always unlocked.
• Reception is approx. 1km form this gate. Stay on this road, carry on till the white reception building.
